June: Updates in Reverse

The boys have really taken off today. M said she got out their push toys and the proceeded to push them around all day. Summy pushed his for over an hour. The best part is that he doesn’t know how to turn it yet so whenever he runs into something he throws a tantrum. I found it to be very funny when I was helping him in the evening.
We had our first round of big baby wrestling last night. I would like to declare myself as the winner but I know there will come a time when the two of them working together are going to beat. It was a blast and the boys both laughed and giggled which always makes a busy day/stressful day at work better.
Finally after much delay, we finally played the Wii Fit for the first time. According to Wii Fit with my height and weight I am obese. So I set a weight loss goal and am now working toward becoming overweight. Next stop will be normal and then I may progress down to string bean.

Checking in

Not a lot happening today. I had to travel to Buffalo for a meeting that went ok. I left the house at 7 AM, 4 plane flights and short car ride later, got back around 9PM. I didn’t get to see the boys until the evening and they were already asleep. Makes me sad, but I know they are really enjoying their time home with Mom.

Two Roads Diverged....

June 9th
So M was telling me this story and how much it reminded her of us and where we could have been if someone wasn’t watching out for us. I know a lot of people know the story of Matt, Liz and Madeline but if you haven’t just read his blog, http://www.mattlogelin.com/. Start with the how it started and work your way to the present. (Since I still don’t know how to add links and pictures this has only spurred me on to learn.) I found myself consuming large amounts of time throughout the day reading this blog. It is so scary how it runs almost exactly like our story until the end. I just can’t keep from thinking what if we went wrong at the boy’s birth and he went right. Would he be reading about me? Would Liz have shown him my blog and would I have done the amazing job that he is doing? It scares me to think about it, especially after the recent car crash.

June...seriously June

Happy June! First let’s get this out of the way. How in world is it June already. Oh well.

So M started making calls on the car accident. She called the person who hit us insurance last night about 11:30 and he had yet to file a claim. So we filed one for him. Then the calls started for us today. First the guy who I was pushed into had his insurance agent called. She was less than friendly and tried to blame it on me. Once we pointed out that the other guy was cited for the whole accident she started to warm up.

Then the guy’s who hit us insurance called so we told the other guy’s insurance to call back. This is where it went all to crap. The guy who hit us was carrying state minimum coverage, which means that his insurance only covers $7500 for the whole accident and $25,000 in medical bills. Lovely, so now the whole thing is going to have to go through our insurance and then they sue the guy for the remaining. So we hung up and the other insurance called back. They were a lot friendlier this time around and not to happy when we relayed the state minimum news.
