Happy First Birthday

Happy Birthday Sumner and Jackson! We celebrated with just the boys today. I took the day off from work to spend with them. I plan on making this a tradition from now on. I’m just trying to make their day little bit more special. Hopefully when they are older I can take them to Flying Pizza for slices on their birthday like I do on mine. Today, we got to go to the doctor to finish off our shots. Not the best way to spend our birthday.
Man, one year seems like it flew. I made it a point to try and do as many of the firsts with them as I could and I still feel like I missed a ton. The year was filled with Joy, Happiness, Sadness, Worry, Doubt, Fear and the Peace. I am extremely blessed at the family I have and the love of a beautiful wife, 2 boys and extended families that care about us all. For all the struggles and worry, it never cease to fall away in the instance that you are holding one of them or seeing them do something for the first time.
Happy Birthday Jackson and Sumner!

Happy Valetines Day

Happy Valentines Day. One year ago we were in a hospital and a year later we are in a doctor’s office getting our shots. Both boys got the RSV shot and then a few of their 1 year shots. Too bad we still have to go back tomorrow and get more.
I can’t honestly tell you what M and I did to celebrate as we don’t usually do anything for V-Day.. Most of the time we exchange cards and I pick up Macaroni Grill, M’s fav, on the way home from work.

Fame has come to our house

So M and the boys were home today due to snow and they were also in the Columbus Dispatch. They ran a story on presents women get after giving birth. I am not sure if the link is still working but here it is:
The running joke is that I get no mention in the story except as the husband. All in all it was good story.

February Post in Reverse

So I kind of fell out of the blogging mood during the month of February. I will try and recreate what I can from memory and the assistance on M’s blog. Maybe what I will try and do someday is learn how to add links and pictures to the blog.
Everyone is starting to get better around the house. Jack never caught it and Summy ended up losing almost a pound. I think we were at ¾ pound. Not good as he didn’t have much to lose to begin with. He’s back on track now. I took these highlights of the boys from M’s blog:

Jack’s open-mouthed kisses
Jack getting into everything
Jack’s crazy head spasm dancing
Jack always trying to pull the heart light’s cord in our bedroom.
Jack trying to pull up on the learning table and sitting people
Jack shaking his head no when he doesn’t like a food
Jack brushing his teeth before bed
Jack “reading books” and flipping the pagesJack “making out” with his blankie before bed

Sumner loving on Lambie
Sumner grunting when he gets stuck in a strange position
Sumner saying “hey!”
Sumner waving bye bye to things he doesn’t want.
Sumner dancing to “his song”Sumner “hand dancing”
Sumner trying to bear weight on his legs, with his butt sticking out
Sumner’s sweet expression when sleeping
Sumner getting scared in the middle of the night
